SCASH LINUX WALKTHROUGH — RECORDING NOTES Recorded: 22 September 2026 Website contributor credit: Scash Developers Hardware exposed to guest: 13th Gen Intel Core i7-1370P, 20 logical CPUs. Environment: Ubuntu 26.04.1 LTS in Microsoft WSL2; Linux 6.18.33.1-microsoft-standard-WSL2. The desktop is an isolated Xvfb display, recorded from real application windows. Wallet: packaged Scash 2.0.0 / Core 27.0.0, Linux x86-64. Node release: https://github.com/scashnetwork/scash/releases/tag/scash_v2.0.0-narnia-core-27.0.0 Miner: packaged cpuminer-scash 3.0.9, Linux static x64. Miner release: https://github.com/scashnetwork/cpuminer-scash/releases/tag/v3.0.9 Wallet binary SHA-256: f4274b70637ef6042ac01588757ab4d1215e8bc50bbdcbd50eb2e28846e2375f Miner binary SHA-256: dffc2d99e1ec0aeb14f8483289e3f62f6174dca8458bd1846123661f7dbd4124 Wallet mode: regtest, isolated data directory, no automatic connections, listening and DNS seeding disabled. No real funds. The sync indicator shows a disconnected test chain, not a completed mainnet sync. Test addresses must not receive real SCASH. The passphrase is disposable demonstration material, not a real wallet credential. No wallet file, backup, key, or executable is distributed with this recording. Miner command shown: ./minerd --benchmark --nonces=1000 -t 2 Settings: two threads, default small pages and hardware AES, no tuning flags. This is a short offline demonstration, NOT a stable performance measurement. No pool, accepted shares, mainnet block, mining payout, or profitability is shown. Power: NOT MEASURED. No wall meter is exposed to this recording environment. No energy-efficiency claim can be derived from its hashrate. Troubleshooting verified here: --nonces 5000 (with a space) crashed before mining. --nonces=5000 (with an equals sign) starts the packaged miner correctly. The source release declares an unusual argument mode for this option; the guide uses the working equals-sign form. A source build was also checked while diagnosing this. The video uses the original packaged miner, not a modified executable. The Linux recording illustrates the sequence for Windows and Mac readers. Windows 11 and macOS have not been executed or recorded here. The referenced node release has no Mac wallet binary; the ARM64 miner targets macOS Sonoma. The video is silent, cropped to the original application windows without large text overlays. English / Simplified Chinese instructions are optional WebVTT captions, turned on with the CC control. The test-chain context is explained in the accompanying page and transcript. Read the accompanying transcript and written walkthrough for checksums, wallet recovery, mainnet sync checks, pool setup and electricity.
